Partnerships for Sustainable Development

The Alexandria Academy Association For Science (AAAS) is a non-profit non-Governmental organization registered in Alexandria- Egypt for educational and charitable purposes. AAAS is the owner of the High Institute for Tourism, Hotels, and Computer ( HITHC), which was established with the objective of promoting education in community sustainable development. The Institute activities include: education, development of model training programs, applied research, seminars, workshops, academic programs, and university partnerships.
Partnership targets:
- Create a data-base for sustainable tourism development in north delta zone.
- Develop training programs that foster sustainable tourism development.
- Conducting applied research providing up to date information concerning
problems facing sustainable tourism development in the North Delta Zone, as
well as potential aspects of new investments.
- Publication of research results and recommendations in workshops and print out
publications.
- Collaborate with Governmental and non Governmental bodies to introduce and
promote small business projects providing required services at tourist
destinations suffering lack of services.
- Collaborate with Governmental and non Governmental bodies to introduce and
promote countryside tourism to North Delta Zone.
- Collaborate with Governmental and non-Governmental bodies to introduce and
promote sustainable tourism projects and small business to the north coast zone.
The institute has long recognized the serious challenges facing Egyptian human resources under the inevitable fierce competition at different investment sectors. Therefore, the Institute went into several agreements with internationally distinguished educational establishments such as:
- Université d' Avignon - France
- Ecole de Savignac - France
- Golden State University - USA
- INHOLLAND University of Applied Sciences - Netherlanda
The mentioned agreements are made in the purpose of developing the institute's abilities to cope with the latest changes and to face challenges imposed by the 21st. century.
